USS Mercy Snow White Patch

Snow White cares for an injured Dopey on this embroidered military patch from World War II. Text reads " USS Mercy AH-8." Measures 4" x 5".

The USS Mercy AH-8 was a comfort-class hospital ship laid down under Maritime Commission contract by Consolidated Steel Corporation at the Wilmington Yard, Wilmington, California, on 4 February 1943. She was acquired by the U.S. Navy from the Maritime Commission on 25 March 1943 and launched the same day.

Seven Dwarfs Embroidered Shirts and Jacket

This women's 100% cotton long sleeve blouse features six of the Seven Dwarfs embroidered along the placket with Dopey above the breast pocket. Originally sold through the Disney Store for $45 in 1993, I recently found it at a resale shop for a couple bucks.

The shirt was pictured in the Fall 1993 Disney Catalog (p.5)...

Similar embroidery, yet different, was seen the following year on a long sleeve stripe shirt. This one was listed in the 1994 Holiday Disney Catalog (p.13). Original retail price: $45...

The boys show up again on this windbreaker jacket which probably dates from 1994 as indicated by both the style of font and the word "Masterpiece". This font was employed between the late 1980s and mid-90s as the promotional logo for the film. Yet, the word "masterpiece" only started with the release of Snow White in the Disney "Masterpiece" VHS home video collection back in October of 1994.
