Artwork for Vintage Children's Book

This original artwork on illustration board was created for a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs children's book. Exactly which book it was, I have not yet identified. Neither have the artist and/or date been confirmed.

Although I thought the artwork might have been produced contemporary with the film, late 1930s, collector Rick Payne says this about the pieces...

To my eye, the image of Snow White looks to be much later than original release...I would have guessed them to be from the early 1950s. I did some searching on ebay, and found art that looks strikingly similar done by Helmuth G. Wegner in the 1957 Whitman "SNOW WHITE TELL-A-TALE" book.  I doubt these Lewis Wayne Gallery illustrations were done exclusively for that specific book since it wouldn't have as many pages as are noted on the artwork, but perhaps Whitman published (or considered publishing) a larger edition that we haven't yet identified....you'll see the resemblance in the way Snow White's hair is depicted and the look of her eyes.
