Carthay Circle in Postcards

The Carthay Circle Theatre as seen in vintage postcards. Home to the 1937 world premiere of Snow White, this grand movie palace was once located at 6316 San Vicente Boulevard in Los Angeles. Unfortunatley, the building was demolished in 1969.

All that remains today is Dan the Miner, a bronze statue which stood across the way from the theatre since shortly before it first opened. Tune into the next post to learn about the Adventures of Dan the Miner in recent history.
