Snow White Exhibition Opens November 15th

The Walt Disney Family Museum exhibition, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic opens to the general public November 15th. To promote the event, the museum has been giving away free tickets this past week along with other cool Snow White merch.

Snow White on Disneyland Park Ticket

Currently at Disneyland Resort, there are large signs near the tram loading area that read, "The Happiest Place On Earth Just Got Happier!" It's part of their summer campaign for the new attractions at Disney California Adventure.

This ain't one of your usual Fab Five characters. Instead, Snow White graces this 1-day park hopper. Originally a $125.00 value, it wasn't worth much by day's end--except to Snow White geeks like us. We'll take it! The Filmic Light "Just Got Happier" too.

UPDATE: A quick call to Disneyland Guest Services reveals that this Snow White ticket design appeared earlier this year, sometime around the start of the summer season. Additional character tickets included Cinderella , Buzz, Sully, and others.

Orson Welles 'Snow White' Radio Performance, 1945

Sixty Seven years ago tonight, Cresta Blanca Wines sponsored a CBS radio dramatization of Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The live broadcast took place at the Columbia Square Playhouse in Hollywood and aired on the program, "THIS IS MY BEST", a series hosted by Orson Welles.

In the introduction to the show, Welles shares that it's his oldest daughter's seventh birthday and that he knows of no better story to share with her than Snow White. As one would expect, his narration is rock solid. Jane Powell, who starred in the 1944 Screen Guild Theater performance, repeats her role as the princess. A full cast of Queen/Witch, Prince and Dwarfs fills out the presentation. Excerpts of the songs from the film are performed throughout with live orchestra accompaniment.
